In June 2024, MPAC members and friends attended Pompeii: The Immortal City exhibit at the Arlington Museum of Art inside the Arlington Expo Center. The exhibit took us on a journey to AD 79, just before, during, and after the fateful eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the Roman Empire. From just-discovered art, artifacts, and archeological marvels to stunning immersive experiences, all the latest techniques of modern museology and technology brought the ancient city back to life.
Members had an awesome lunch and learning experience at AISD’s Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center. Delicious brunch was prepared and served by the senior Culinary Arts students. Special thanks to Alice Monroe for the tour.
