MPAC Focus Groups for 2023

​

  • Monitor City Council (standing committee) - Members of this committee attend (or monitor) every work session and meeting of the Arlington City Council and distribute summary reports to MPAC members.
     

  • Celebrate Arlington - Celebrate Arlington is focused on recognizing MPAC's 20th anniversary of dedication to their projects that have impacted our city by celebrating Arlington throughout the year.
     

  • Community Connections -The goal of the Community Connections Focus Group is to have a positive impact on the future development of Arlington by being a bridge between city officials and the citizens of Arlington.
     

  • Environmental, Beautification, Natural Resources - A strong City leadership with environmental education and community stewardship ensures preservation of natural resources and the beautification of Arlington. We will encourage current and new city council members to revisit and address the recommendations brought forth in the 2020 Enviromental Task Force Final report.
    We will encourage the reinstatement of the nine-year, very missed, Ecofest. Recyling, Bee City and Monarch City would be a vital link in this event.
    We continue to lose valuable tree canopy and historic Cross Timbers to development.  We will encourage city staff to review the ECE recommendations.
